1. End User License Agreement (EULA) Acceptance
Before registering, logging in, or using MtaaConnect, you must read and accept these Terms and this EULA. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the app.
User Agreement: I agree to follow MtaaConnect's Terms, EULA, Privacy Policy, Community Rules, and User-Generated Content Safety rules. I understand that MtaaConnect has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
2. About MtaaConnect
MtaaConnect is a community platform that helps diaspora and local communities discover events, businesses, community updates, news, services and local opportunities.
MtaaConnect also supports community competitions and leagues, such as football leagues or any other game that requires tracking results, adding points, managing rankings, fixtures and performance records.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally allowed to use online services in your country. If you are under the age required by your country to accept online terms, you may only use MtaaConnect with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
4. User Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your account safe.
- You must provide accurate information.
- You must not impersonate another person, organisation, business or public figure.
- You must not use MtaaConnect to threaten, harass, scam or abuse other users.
5. Community Rules
- No harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation or abuse.
- No hate speech, discrimination or content targeting protected groups.
- No sexual exploitation, child safety violations, or content that endangers minors.
- No illegal content, fraudulent activity, scams, impersonation or phishing.
- No spam, misleading posts, fake listings or deceptive events.
- No violent, graphic, harmful, or objectionable content.
- No content that violates another person's privacy, intellectual property or legal rights.
6. User-Generated Content Safety and Moderation
Users may be able to create, upload, post, share, list, comment on, or submit content inside MtaaConnect. Users remain fully responsible for the content they submit.
6.1 Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Abusive Users
MtaaConnect has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content or behavior that violates these rules may be removed, restricted, or reported, and the user responsible may be suspended, blocked, or permanently removed from the platform.
6.2 Content Filtering and Moderation
MtaaConnect may use manual review, automated filters, keyword filters, user reports, admin tools, and other moderation methods to detect, restrict, hide, or remove objectionable content. We may also limit accounts that repeatedly violate our rules.
6.3 Reporting or Flagging Objectionable Content
Users can report or flag objectionable content from inside the app where reporting features are available, or by contacting MtaaConnect directly. Reports should include enough information for our team to review the content, such as the post, profile, event, listing, message, screenshot, or username involved.
6.4 Blocking Abusive Users
Users can block abusive users from inside the app where blocking features are available. When a user is blocked, MtaaConnect should remove that blocked user's content from the blocking user's feed or view as soon as reasonably possible. Blocking or reporting may also notify the MtaaConnect moderation team so the reported content or account can be reviewed.
6.5 24-Hour Review and Action
MtaaConnect will review reports of objectionable content as quickly as possible. We aim to act on valid reports within 24 hours by removing violating content and, when appropriate, suspending, ejecting, or banning the user who provided the offending content.
6.6 Enforcement
MtaaConnect may remove content, limit visibility, disable features, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, or take other action when users violate these Terms or create safety risks for the community.
7. Events
Event organisers are responsible for accurate event details, ticketing information, availability, prices, safety information, and event changes.
8. Businesses & Listings
Businesses are responsible for their products, services, pricing, descriptions, images, availability, legal compliance, and listings.
9. Competitions & Leagues
MtaaConnect may provide tools for football leagues, tournaments, standings and performance tracking. League organisers are responsible for accurate results, rankings and records.
10. Intellectual Property
You must only upload content that you own or have permission to use. You may not copy, upload, or distribute content that violates another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other legal rights.
11. App Availability and Changes
MtaaConnect may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app at any time. We may also update these Terms when needed. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Privacy
MtaaConnect may collect account, device and usage information to operate, improve and protect the platform. We may use this information for login, account safety, moderation, support, analytics, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
We do not allow users to use MtaaConnect to collect private information from others without permission. Do not post personal information about another person without their consent.
